Firstly congratulations on being pregnant.

We at Face2Face Baby Scans Ltd would like to take this opportunity to invite you, your family and friends for a 4D Baby Ultrasound Scan on our GE Voluson 730 Scanner.

In the past, expectant parents weren't able to see their baby's face until he or she was born. They could only see black and white images of their unborn child through a traditional 2D ultrasound scan.

Imagine being able to see your unborn baby sucking their thumb…… Imagine seeing him/her wave their little hand at you……

This is now possible with 3D Ultrasound
4D ultrasound services provide amazing images of an expected baby. 4D ultrasound captures, produces and preserves the images professionally like no other facility so that they can be enjoyed for a lifetime.  The procedure is non-invasive, done on the belly.

Parents will be able to see their growing babies more clearly thanks to 4D ultrasound technology.

The sonographer will use 2D as in your routine scans to determine your baby's position, presentation etc. and switches to 4D when your baby's position is favorable for 4D images.

The difference is a 2D ultrasound visualizes the baby in planes (or layers) and a 3D ultrasound looks at the surface of the baby. The term 4D simply means the element of motion has been added to a still 3D photo. 4D is also referred to as “3D Live”.

The optimum time for a 4D ultrasound is between 26 and 33 weeks. After 34 weeks, the baby begins to get a little squished and may be facing the spine, which is the position for birth.

If in the event that your baby is not in a good position to obtain good quality 4D image then we will stop scanning and you will be advised to take a stroll around markets, or perhaps to drink some fruit juice or take some chocolate all of which may help to change your baby's position inside the womb and allow us to get a good 3D image. After which we will resume scanning. If after all the tricks your baby still has not turned we will book you in for another appointment free of charge.

Please see our FAQ page for factors that determine a good 4D Scan.
